The ONETEN MAX LBO is a large, highly responsive jerkbait powered by the revolutionary LBOII moving balancer system.
Thanks to the combination of a highly refined hydrodynamic body and the LBO’s virtually frictionless weight-transfer system, the ONETEN MAX LBO is able to eliminate the sluggishness seen in large jerkbaits of the past.
The astonishingly responsive action, a credit to the work of ITO engineering, truly make it worthy of the position atop the vaunted ONETEN jerkbait series.
The new patented moving balancer system, LBOII, is designed with micro ball bearings arranged in an infinite-loop configuration to drastically reduce friction of traditional moving balancers.
The LBOII weight is magnetically held to the front position, and when unleashed during casting the inertial impact generates a powerful propulsion vector, dramatically increasing casting performance, even against headwinds.
From the moment you begin your retrieve, the ONETEN MAX LBO’s weight leaps to the front position with astonishing speed, providing full lure action for the entirety of your cast.

The birth of Megabass in the U.S. is the stuff of legend, involving a cross-country trek in the early 90’s, in which the Megabass designer/CEO Yuki Ito challenged pro staff of local stores and area pros to one-on-one fishing duels. The rules were simple: if Yuki Ito won, the store had to buy his lures; if the U.S. angler won, then Yuki had to buy local tackle from the store. This “put your money where your mouth is” approach, combined with the quality and flat out fish-catching ability that was evident in Yuki’s handcrafted Megabass equipment, succeeded in convincing stores to take on this premium imported tackle.
Today Megabass still embodies that daring spirit. Each product is a painstaking marriage of handmade form and technological innovation. In a modern age dominated by CAD and mass production, every Megabass lure is based on a hand-carved Yuki Ito original.
